Bookkeeper for a Professional Services Firm in Australia (Home Based Part Time)

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping using QuickBooks and Xero, including bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction coding

• Prepare clear and accurate Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports for internal review and Australian tax accountants

• Integrate and manage accounting data from multiple platforms such as Shopify, Square, PayPal, and Stripe

• Ensure data integrity and maintain audit\-ready financial records with thorough documentation of reconciliations and adjustments

• Prepare and maintain Australian BAS/Activity Statements with correct GST treatment

• Support bookkeeping across a variety of business types, including retail, hospitality, professional services, construction, and e\-commerce

• Collaborate closely with business owners to resolve queries, clarify transaction treatments, and complete reporting cycles efficiently

• Identify and escalate reconciliation discrepancies, GST risks, and process inefficiencies while providing practical solutions

• Uphold strict confidentiality and maintain a high standard of accuracy in all financial records
