Senior Accountant - With Growth Opportunities - Part-Time

Join a well-established, boutique accounting firm based in Malvern, delivering a wide range of business services to our clients through Xero specialisation and cloud-based accounting and advisory. We are a small, relaxed, and tight-knit team, looking for someone who will bring new ideas and help develop the business. This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, with plenty of in-house training and development provided. Preferably in office role to help with collaboration. 

Seeking 20+/- hours per week with flexibility to suit the right candidate. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse financial statements
• Prepare tax returns and BAS’ for clients
• Coding and updating client files in Xero
• Bank reconciliation
• Accounts payable/accounts receivable reconciliation
• Payroll/STP compliance, Superannuation, workcover, monthly payroll tax, wages reconciliation
• Tax planning for client groups
• Assist with establishing/maintaining fee proposals
• Liaising directly with clients
• Collaborating with team members to manage tasks

Qualifications:

• From 5+ years practical accounting experience
• Knowledge of Xero, Xero Tax, and MYOB 
• Knowledge of CLASS Super and Xero Practice Manager is beneficial, but not essential
