Senior Accounts Payable Officer required for a permanent full-time or part-time opportunity south of the CBD. Your new role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping and commercial acumen, excellent data analytical skills, and a passion for accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable
Receive and verify supplier invoices; resolve discrepancies.
Reconcile delivery dockets and purchase orders.
Match invoices with delivery dockets and purchase orders (physical and digital).
Enter invoice details into the Accounts Payable system.
Reconcile supplier statements and calculate settlement discounts.
Prepare supplier accounts for approval and manage payment cycles.
Maintain and update the Accounts Payable ledger.
File and manage records (physical and digital).
Claims Management
Oversee and execute the full claims management process.
Create and manage supplier return documentation.
Respond promptly to supplier claims queries.
Follow up with suppliers if return authority confirmations are not received.
Investigate supplier pricing discrepancies and liaise with the Purchasing department to resolve.
Cash Sale Liaison Support
Support the Cash Sale Liaison team with client payment management.
General Duties
Warehouse and inventory experience preferred.
Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Recording accurately all supplier interactions.
Prioritise and manage email workflow promptly.
Perform other duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or a related diploma essential.
Minimum 5 years of practical bookkeeping experience.
Strong software skills in MYOB, Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask and follow up persistently with stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
