Join our team as a Senior Gaming Services Host at The Star Brisbane.   

The Star Brisbane, positioned at the heart of the new Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, will be Australia’s newest entertainment and leisure destination. Commencing a staged opening in 2024, The Star Brisbane will bring a range of unique entertainment options, world class hotels, dining, bars, luxury retail, gaming and a state-of-the-art Event Centre, transforming how people will play, shop and socialise in the river city.  

The Senior Gaming Services Host will coordinate team member requirements during each shift to ensure business demand are met, while also being responsible for the development and implementation of business plans and strategies. 

A few of your responsibilities 

• Investigating guest complaints with a positive and courteous approach 

• Assist the Gaming Services Hosts to sign up new guests to the rewards program  

• Greet and assist guests in the VIP rooms 

• Supporting and assisting Premium Services leadership in overseeing the Premium Services Team and completing all people planning requirements 

• Providing information to guests on all Casino activities, ensuring delivery is timely, effective, and efficient 

• Always providing a positive and friendly environment for our guests 

• Supporting and assisting the Premium Services leadership in monitoring, evaluating and modifying the quality and consistency of service 

What we will be looking for  

• Guest service experience 

• Verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to organise and prioritise competing demands and tasks 

• Computer literacy and administrative capability 

• Known for having an energetic and positive approach 

• Ability to build effective relationships and support others through providing timely feedback and recognition 

• Adaptable to organisational change and displays initiative

About us  

The $3.6 billion Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development is being delivered by Destination Brisbane Consortium – a joint venture led by The Star Entertainment Group alongside its partners.    

When complete, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will deliver four new luxury hotels, more than 50 new food and beverage experiences, significant luxury retail, the restoration of nine heritage buildings and around 1,500 residential apartments.
