South Perth Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for appointments to permanent, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
Suitable applicants should provide a stimulating and engaging learning environment that is meaningful, relevant and developmentally appropriate.
Suitable applicants should be flexible, willing to embrace change and new technology, open to feedback and able to work collaboratively in teams, maintaining positive relationships. It is highly desirable for applicants to provide for students’ individual needs, delivering learning programs that challenge highly able students while also catering for neurodiverse and English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) students.
Teachers should utilise a range of high impact teaching strategies while establishing a supportive learning environment. In the early years, teachers are expected to use a balanced approach that includes both play-based learning and explicit instruction.
