Situated in the award-winning trails town of Dwellingup, only 90 minutes from Perth you will be immersed in the forest and waterways that surround the thriving mountain bike, paddle and hiking town.

Founded 30 years ago, Dwellingup Adventures has become known for its reliable, professional and quality, outdoor products and services. Offering a wide range of equipment for hire and tours, including canoes, kayaks, rafts, mountain bikes and camping equipment Dwellingup Adventures aims to support people to make healthy connections with nature, others and oneself. To complement our hire and tours equipment we operate a Trails shop 7 days per week, stocking a premium selection of mountain bike, hiking and paddling gear as well as Waypoints Café that serves healthy, energy-fuelling food.

About the role

We are looking for an outdoor enthusiast who is passionate about getting people onto trails. You don’t need to be an advanced rider or paddler, but you must have a love of the outdoors and an understanding of tourism and trail-user needs. Experience in outdoor retail, hire or tours is highly desired as well as personal experience in mountain biking, paddling, and/or multi-day hiking.

The role is permanent, part-time (4 days to start) with opportunity for full-time. Must be available at least one day per weekend and school holidays.

You must be able to demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and exceptional communication skills. 

Duties

• Retail operations – open and close premises, serving customers, stock control, presentation and cleaning.
• Administration – managing bookings for hire and tour, accommodation and charter products. 
• Tourism specific – supporting management to develop new tour product and development of second location, participate in initiatives to enhance the visitor experience, sustainability auditing and general administrative tasks as directed by management.
