Trainer & Assessor – RII60520 – Advanced Diploma Of Civil Construction Design - Part-Time

Due to expanding its course offerings, ALS College is looking to recruit a Trainer & Assessor for the RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design course, for delivery to international students.

The position is permanent part-time, 3 days per work (60% conditions); start date is flexible, but we are looking to commence delivery in October this year. 

ALS College consists of ALS Certificates and Diplomas and IH Brisbane – ALS; it is part of the International House group of schools, with more than 140 schools worldwide. We pride ourselves on having a great working environment, and have very high student satisfaction.

The position requires a person that is flexible and approachable, understands the principles of assessment, has effective time management and organisational skills, and can demonstrate good computer skills - previous experience of a Moodle like LMS is highly desirable.

The successful applicant:

• Must have the RII60520 qualification, or a higher level in the same field.
• Will be able to create a good learning environment
• Must have prior experience delivering and assessing relevant courses, to international students an advantage
• Hold theTAE40116, TAE40122 or diploma/higher level qualification in adult education
• Have industry experience - at least 2 years - and industry currency
• Have proven time management and communication skills, with proven patience with international students' language abilities a benefit.
