Vet Nurse - Greencross Kessels Road

A great opportunity for a Vet Nurse to join our Greencross Kessels Road team!

Our clinic is generous in space, purpose built and fully equipped with seven consult rooms, an ultrasound room, a designated dental area, an extra-large prep area with three tables and a large surgery room. We also have a fully functioning lab, with an x-ray machine as well as Pulse Oximeter, Multi Parameter monitor and Isoflurane Anaesthetics to assist you with ensuring a memorable and positive clinical experience for every pet and owner we see!

About your new role:

• Permanent Part-time role - Full-time considered for the right candidate
• Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
• Performing minor procedures when required 
• Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
• Reception duties when required

About your skills and your experience:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with min. 2+ years of experience preferred
• Experienced Certificate III nurses will be considered
• Excellent animal handling skills and extensive knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• A calm, friendly and positive presence
• A ‘can do’, hands-on team player attitude
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Availability for Saturday shifts
• Knowledge of RX Works ideal but not essential
