What’s the role all about?
This is a paid position.
The aim of the Aged Care Community Visitors Scheme (AVCVS) Volunteer Coordinator is to enhance the quality of life for older people living in Aged Care Homes and in their own residence. The objective of the ACCVS is to recruit volunteers who are matched to recipients and who make regular, at least fortnightly, visits either on a one-to-one basis or visiting a group of recipients. The development of the friendship provides an opportunity for the recipients to feel a continued sense of belonging with their local community.
As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will:

Note: occasional after-hours and weekend work will be required for matching volunteers when they are available. You will be able to take time-in-lieu for any hours worked outside of normal business hours.
