Accounting Operations Senior Analyst

This is a new created position within the accounting team of our international Finance shared services centre.

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Accounting based in the UK you will be responsible for accounting responsibilities in Italy hereby working closely together with the team in Liverpool, UK.

The position is based in Milan with the option for hybrid working.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Italian accounting operations specialist to work in an international team in a global biotech environment.

Responsibilities:

• Under general supervision, supports accounting activities in accordance with accounting policies and reporting requirements
• Obtains information and credit references for institutions applying for credit
• Prepares credit reports and authorizes credit applications within company guidelines up to a pre-specified amount
• Processes payments/postings in SAP accounts receivable system and performs daily reconciliations
• Participates in month end close process; reconciles accounts, posts journal entries and maintains accurate general ledger
• Checks and analyses financial information and prepares accounting statements and report

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Several years' relevant experience in a multi-national company in Italy
• Knowledge of GAAP and AIFRS
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, specifically related to the Italian market
• Fluency in Italian and English
• Strong communication skills, proactive approach and the ability to operate effectively in an international matrix environment
