Head of Betting (DACH) All Genders

Entain is hiring a Head of Betting (DACH) to join our European team. As our Head of Betting (DACH) you will be for the commercial performance of DACH Betting in its entirety and of all relevant Betting verticals (Pre Live, Live, eSports, and Virtuals) across relevant Betting brands (Bwin, Ladbrokes, Sportingbet, etc).

We’re looking for someone with a passion for Betting, a creative individual, and someone with a desire to evolve the Betting experience. You will be responsible for the DACH Betting Product Roadmap, collaborating and working closely with Entain Product, Centre of Excellence owners & internal stakeholders to ensure the Betting Product Roadmaps solve for customer needs and meet brand ambitions, including support of compliance, regulation, and responsible gambling policy implementation.

The success in this role will be gauged by achieving strategic milestones outlined in the Betting strategy within the Group, as well as by consistently surpassing competitor brands' Gaming NGR on a quarterly and annual basis.

What you will do 

1. Strategy Development : Develop and implement strategies for the sportsbook and betting operations to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention.
2. Team Leadership : Provide leadership and direction to the sportsbook team, including hiring, training, and managing staff to ensure optimal performance and achievement of goals.
3. Market Analysis : Conduct market analysis and research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats in the sports betting industry, and adjust strategies accordingly.
4. Product Development: Work closely with product development teams to enhance and innovate the sportsbook platform, features, and offerings to meet customer needs and preferences.
5. Risk Management : Oversee risk management processes, including setting betting limits, monitoring odds, and managing exposure to ensure the financial integrity and stability of the sportsbook.
6. Content Management: Oversee the creation and management of betting content, including odds, event information, and market descriptions, ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and engaging for customers, and collaborate with content creators and marketing teams to enhance the visibility and attractiveness of betting offerings.
7. Pricing: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable odds, monitor market conditions and competitor pricing to adjust strategies as needed, and utilize data analytics to refine pricing models and optimize profitability.
8. Compliance : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards in all aspects of sports betting operations, including licensing, reporting, and responsible gambling practices.
9. Partnerships and Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, and other stakeholders to enhance the sportsbook's reputation, credibility, and access to content.
10. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and initiatives to attract and engage customers and drive betting activity.
11. Financial Management : Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics for the sportsbook, monitoring expenses, revenues, and profitability.
12. Customer Experience: Prioritize customer satisfaction and experience by ensuring seamless and user-friendly betting processes, resolving customer issues and inquiries, and implementing feedback-driven improvements.

Who you are 

• Senior Leader experience in Multi Brand Betting significant roles within top-tier consumer businesses that have a strong brand marketing focus/reputation
• Proven experience delivering Betting performance across a range of different roles/companies
• Proven track record developing Betting innovations
• Rich expertise in all aspects of Betting Product and Content, Commercial Performance, Operations
• Experience developing and implementing Betting strategies in multi-channel organizations
• Experience managing Third Party Supplier relationships with top tier Third Party Suppliers
• Proven track record recruiting and developing teams of varying levels of skill and experience
