Do you want to work in the Hardware Engineering and Applications Team? Do you enjoy working in an innovative multidisciplinary team?

We are currently seeking an 3D Application Scientist (m/f/d) as a 12-month maternity cover who will be responsible for conduct experiments demonstrating feasibility and suitability of our new products for a variety of customer-focused applications.

What we’ll get you doing:

• Planning and execution of application tests with breadboards, prototypes and pilot instruments and analysis and interpretation of test data

• Prepare 3D-Model-Systems for applications and system development

• Key role in product definition process

• Establish collaborative relationships with key scientific leaders and partners in the field

• Work across multiple disciplines to bridge scientific and instrument requirements and functionality

• Travel to customer sites as required (up to 10%)

The essential requirements of the role include:

• PhD in Cell Biology and at least 3 years of experience in life science applications

• Understanding of software tools used in analyzing biological data (MetaXpress, ImageJ, Imaris, Matlab and Python)

• Experience with imaging-based applications

• Significant experience in working with stem cells, iPSC and adult stem cell derived organoids

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

The collective agreement for employees in the electrical and electronics industry applies to the advertised position, the minimum basic salary is € 3.775,27,-- gross per month with willingness to overpay the collective agreement. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
