The Role

As an Anti-Financial Crime Operations Specialist, you will be at the forefront of 21bitcoins' efforts to keep our customers and their assets safe. Your primary focus will be on transaction monitoring and investigations, preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and working closely with the AMLO to improve our internal processes. You will resolve customer issues, flag potential concerns, and manage compliance controls, including KYC and CDD policies. This role demands a high level of ownership and a self-driven work ethic to enhance our AML program, ensuring best-in-class customer experience and operational excellence.

Here's a taste of what you can expect in this role:

• Hands-On Transaction Monitoring: Analyze and manage transaction alerts daily, ensuring thorough investigation, documentation, and preparation of SARs.
• Customer Interaction and Communication: Engage with customers to resolve issues clearly and efficiently, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all documents submitted for CDD comply with internal policies, and respond to enquiries from authorities and ad-hoc requests from our Compliance team.
• Process Improvement and Adaptability: Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of our processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives and adapting quickly to new fraud patterns.
• Multisystem Expertise: Operate multiple AML systems and programs simultaneously, leveraging your experience in KYC, AML, Fraud and Sanctions.
• Shift Work: Be prepared to work in shifts, including weekends.

Qualifikation

Must Haves:

• Native German Speaker: Fluent in German, both written and spoken.
• Anti-Financial Crime Expertise: Minimum of 1 year in AFC roles, preferably in the crypto industry.
• Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and manage transaction alerts and prepare detailed documentation.
• Excellent Communication: Clear and concise communication with customers and authorities.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring compliance with internal policies and documentation standards.
• Adaptability: Quick to adapt to new fraud patterns and changing environments.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using multiple systems, including KYC, AML, and Sanctions.
• Must be located within ±2 hours of CET timezone
• Being based in or willing to relocate to Munich, Salzburg, or Vienna is a significant advantage (relocation assistance available)
