The Purpose of the role:

As Area Sales Manager On Trade - Region Steiermark und Kärnten you are driving the sales in the Horeca/Gastronomy channel and will report to On Trade Manager Austria. You are responsible for the On Trade customers, the yearly negotiations and daily follow-ups with the existing customers and small wholesalers as well as extending the network, driving distribution and growing our volume through all relevant On Trade outlets.

You will have monthly meetings with the different stakeholders to monitor the On Trade performance and campaigns and ensure you match or even outperform the budget. You will be part of a sales force team dedicated to the gastronomy channel with clear target setting and daily contact and follow-up.


  • Growing our customer base in the gastronomy channel à focus on Graz
  • Weekly negotiations with existing base and extend the network
  • Direct wholesale contact and build relationship
  • Ensure listing of new to be introduced SKUs
  • Monthly meetings to discuss performance
  • 80% of travelling within Austria for partners visit

  • At least 5+ years of Horeca/commercial experience preferably within FMCG sales
  • Experience in negotiation with customers in gastronomy
  • Has strong analytical skills and experience using Microsoft Office (mainly Excel)
  • Analyze Volumes and performance reports and take adequate actions with customers
  • Target driven and a “dream big” mindset
  • Willing to go the extra mile to deliver the results
  • Takes ownership of projects and shows flexibility and initiative to achieve goals
  • Knows how to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Mandatory languages: German, English

For this position we have a gross annual salary from EUR 50,000 plus a bonus of up to 15% per year.
