As the BI Analyst for the DACH region, you will enable the newly formed DACH team to achieve its operational and strategic goals, by equipping them with the right level of insights, knowledge and confidence to make the best, most informed data-backed decisions for the region.

As part of a brand-new Finance and Analytics team, you will be a key part of the DACH business and will have the chance to help shape the future of BI and Analytics for DACH. As an “all-rounder” analyst, you will be responsible for delivering commercial, executive reporting and key business insights. These include commercial performance, product, customer, safer gambling and compliance related insights. You will also support the Finance team with KPI forecasting and planning and ultimately be the owner of DACH data.

What you'll do

Commercial and Executive Reporting

Ensures that DACH stakeholders have access to full reporting suite that meets their day-to-day operational requirements via the delivery of all DACH reporting, including, but not limited to daily KPI reports and the creation and maintenance of DACH Power BI Dashboards. E.g.:

• Daily/weekly/monthly trading reports covering key KPIs
• Daily/weekly/monthly Gaming and Sports trading reports
• Customer segmentation reports with focus on ensuring visibility of ARM/VIP segments
• CRM and acquisition performance
• End to end management of DACH’s transition to Snowflake: migration of all reporting to Snowflake, responsible for all QA and testing, communicates all key milestones to DACH commercial team etc.

Commercial Insights & Marketing Effectiveness

• Delivers actionable commercial insights to the business, beyond the day-to-day reporting.
• Ad hoc analysis projects
• Provide some analytical and business partnering support to DACH SLT/Commercial Sports/Gaming teams, in liaison with the BI Manager

Product & Customer Insights

• Leverages expertise from central teams to support the DACH product and CX teams
• Ensures the visibility of UI/UX data and reporting

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Supports the Finance Director and BI Manager in the planning and reforecasting processes by identifying and modelling key business drivers, utilising a number of approaches, including but not limited to, current and historic trends and regression analysis. You will add business input and insight where necessary and be willing to challenge, where appropriate.
• Co-ordinate the initial and any subsequent daily re-phasing of the budgets and reforecasts into Teradata, ensuring all known events are taken into account within the daily forecast, relevant stakeholder or business leader sign-off prior to upload and accuracy of data provided to Hyderabad.
• Specific event forecasting, reporting and wash-ups. E.g. World Cup, Euros.

Developing the DACH BI & Analytics Function

• Develop strong relationships with Group and Central functions and other divisional analysts in order to share knowledge, ideas and best practice .
• Encourages communication and collaboration across the business, team and stakeholders in order to build strong relationships and develop cross functional working.

Who you are

• Experience in developing reports dealing with large volume data in structures such as Teradata, Big Query, Snowflake etc.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI and other relevant data visualization tools.
• Advanced SQL ability
• Excellent Excel and data management skills
• Displays a keen interest in Sports and Gaming with the ability to understand the key drivers that underpin DACH performance.
• A strong communicator, both verbal and written
• Able to translate data into clear insights with good PowerPoint skills
• Flexibility to evolve with the fluidity of the DACH business.
• A commercial mindset is desirable, or the ability to see the bigger picture.
• Previous experience of business planning and forecasting ideal but not essential.
