Job Description Summary

The Clinical Product Manager (f/m/d) - Women’s Health Ultrasound serves as a critical bridge between clinical users, product development teams, and global markets. This role is responsible for championing the voice of the customer, driving user-centric design and interaction on ultrasound consoles, and supporting the global deployment of innovative clinical and AI-powered features.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Voice of the Customer

  • Organize and participate in external evaluations of NPIs with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
  • Act as the primary advocate for clinical users, gathering feedback and translating needs into actionable product requirements.
  • Engage with regional and global stakeholders—including clinicians, startups, and third-party developers—to understand evolving clinical workflows and feature demands.
  • Collaborate with marketing and business teams to build robust business cases and market studies for new features and products.
  • Translate and report customer evaluation feedback to engineering with clarity of actions to be derived for improving product.

2. User Interface & Interaction

  • Lead usability and user experience (UX) initiatives for ultrasound consoles, ensuring intuitive and efficient interaction for diverse clinical environments.
  • Partner with software and hardware teams to specify, evaluate, and validate user interface designs, focusing on logical, architectural, and data partitioning between hardware and AI components.
  • Drive the development and documentation of user-centric features, including onboarding, training, and support materials.

3. Global Exposure & Collaboration

  • Support the rollout of clinical and AI features across multiple regions (USCAN, China, International), adapting solutions to meet local regulatory and user requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-functional and cross-regional communication, ensuring alignment on product strategy, regulatory submissions, and resource planning.
  • Participate in global pilot programs, developer platform initiatives, and commercialization efforts for new medical device features.
  • Organize, create and deliver training materials for NPIs.

4. Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Assist in the design input, risk management, and regulatory compliance planning for new product introductions (NPI), including Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and Multiple Function Device Products (MFDP).
  • Execute verification and validation procedures on the medical device.
  • Contribute to hazard analysis, verification, and validation documentation, ensuring safe and effective integration of AI features.

5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy and feature prioritization.
  • Collect and collate feature requests from internal and external partners, supporting the development of scalable, high-value solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced Sonographer or equivalent experience in the application of medical diagnostic Ultrasound – preference in Women’s Health Ultrasound
  • Strong understanding of women's health and ultrasound technology.
  • Strong self-organization and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a global mindset.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices and software (FDA, CE, etc.).
  • Proven ability to drive user-centric design and product innovation.
  • Experience: Previous experience in applications, clinical development, or customer relationship management is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel nationally/internationally up to 20% of the time
  • The role is located in Zipf/Austria
  • Fluent English and good German skill

  • In Austria we are required to state the minimum pay. For this position, the annual compensation package starts at € 60.000. We will be pleased to discuss the appropriate effective salary based on your qualifications and experience.
