Position Summary

The Director of eCommerce will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow Lick Ice Cream’s online presence, drive demand, and maximize online orders. This role will oversee all aspects of the eCommerce platform, including website management, digital marketing, customer experience, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in eCommerce, a passion for consumer brands, and the ability to deliver measurable results.

Minimum Expectations

• Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement a comprehensive eCommerce strategy to drive online sales, increase brand awareness, and expand customer reach.
• Website Management: Oversee the functionality, performance, and user experience of Lick Ice Cream’s eCommerce platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience.
• Demand Generation: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media campaigns, and influencer partnerships, to drive traffic and conversions.
• Customer Experience: Optimize the online customer journey, from discovery to checkout, ensuring a delightful and efficient purchasing process.
• Order Fulfillment: Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of online orders, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention; use data-driven insights to refine strategies.
• Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing eCommerce team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Partnerships: Identify and manage relationships with third-party vendors, including payment gateways, marketing platforms, and technology providers.
• Budget Management: Oversee the eCommerce budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
• Brand Alignment: Ensure all online initiatives reflect Lick Ice Cream’s brand values, tone, and commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Proven track record of driving online sales growth for a consumer brand, preferably in food, beverage, or CPG.
• Deep understanding of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce), digital marketing tools, and analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics, Klaviyo).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Passion for the food and beverage industry and an understanding of consumer behavior in the online space.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with subscription-based eCommerce models or perishable goods.
• Knowledge of UX/UI best practices for eCommerce websites.
• Familiarity with sustainability practices in eCommerce operations (e.g., eco-friendly packaging, carbon-neutral shipping).
