Divisional Construction Manager

Our client is seeking a Divisional Construction Manager (m/f/d) to lead and enhance the performance of all field construction activities within the Green Hydrogen, Renewable Fuels, and Power-2X Division on projects exceeding one hundred million dollars.

In your role, you will:

  • Establish the construction execution and management function within the division.
  • Lead in Construction Health & Safety, Construction QA/QC, Constructability, Contracts/Commercial, and Project Controls from inception to final handover.
  • Develop and manage the site Construction Management function (civil, installation) within the Green Hydrogen, Renewable Fuel, and Power-2X division.
  • Support projects during sales and execution phases, serving as the key partner for all construction-related topics.
  • Collaborate in the tendering processes (RFQ/RFP) on technical requirements and contract discussions.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor team members.
  • Interface with and direct contractors on all civil and erection topics.
  • Engage in joint negotiations with suppliers and critical sub-contractors during project delivery phases.
  • Coordinate divisional project backlog on construction topics with project construction resources, divisional functions, and locations.
  • Work closely with other Andritz Business Areas, including Pulp & Paper, Metals, and Hydropower, to ensure successful execution of shared projects.
  • In your personal skill set, you have:

  • A completed technical education (bachelor or master) in an engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of ten years' experience in Construction Management.
  • Experience in EPC project business.
  • Experience with international projects.
  • Experience in QA/QC (management, assurance, control, inspection).
  • Experience in Contract and Claim management.
  • Ideally, product knowledge in electrolyzers, petrochemical plants, and business experience.
  • Experience within modularized/PPMOF projects (a plus).
  • Excellent English skills; other languages are an advantage.
  • High reliability, accuracy, and independence.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
