Our client is an established, privately owned pet health manufacturing company in South Germany. They develop and manufacture pet food recipes and pet supplements in Germany since 2014 for global brands. Currently their own B2B and B2C brands are under one of their manufacturing companies. To scale and grow the brand portfolio they are carving out the brands and brand operation by creating a new company and are recruiting a Managing Director.

We are looking for a

Managing Director (m/w/d)

the role.

As Managing Director you own the full P&L and build the company from the ground up.

You set up the go-to-market engine, hire the founding team, put scalable processes in place and launch two brands, all within a deliberately lean budget.

You report directly to the Group CEO and work closely with the investors.

Own the P&L, budget and financial planning for the new company.

Take the business from zero to its first seven-figure revenue year.

Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for two brand launches in year oneBuild and lead the founding team: recruit, structure and develop.

Design commercial, operational and reporting processes that scale internationally.

Lead performance marketing and sales channel strategy [DTC / e-commerce / retail].

Manage budget allocation with strict cost discipline and return on investment focus.

Report on progress, risks and KPIs to the Group CEO and shareholders.

what you bring.

Entrepreneurial, hands-on, comfortable with ambiguity and lean resources.

Experience in SME environments or start-ups; corporate experience is a plus.

Background in FMCG or consumer goods.

Fluent German and English (min. C1) any other language is an asset.

Proven track record in go-to-market and sales leadership.

Strong understanding of performance marketing (paid social, search, CRM, attribution, CAC/ROAS).

Previous budget ownership or P&L responsibility.

Previous team leadership, including building a team.

You love pets (cats or dogs, or both!).

Extensive international travel is expected in this role.
