This role ensures that all customer requirements, safety standards, and production constraints are translated into accurate and optimized mechanical design packages. The Mechanical Engineer collaborates closely with Electrical Engineers, System Engineers, Advanced Manufacturing Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure on-time delivery, compliance, and seamless execution on the shop floor. Design & Development: Design mechanical layouts, assemblies, and enclosure configurations for LVSA products. Design the Engineer to Order mechanical parts for LVSA Develop 2D/3D models (enclosures, mounting plates, busbar support structures, cutouts) using CAD tools. Prepare fabrication drawings, drilling/cutout plans, and wiring routing channels. Maintain and release mechanical BOMs into ERP system. Ensure compatibility between mechanical components and electrical architecture Apply Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) principles during engineering phase. Support production teams by resolving build issues, providing redline updates, and clarifying design intent. Ensure mechanical designs comply with IEC standards related to LV switchgear, Internal safety and quality rules Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) for mechanical compliance.
