Product Engineer - Automotive ICs (m/f/d)

As an Automotive Product Engineer, you will take responsibility for released IC products within the supply chain and play an important role in bringing new products successfully into high-volume production. Working at the intersection of product engineering, quality, manufacturing, test, and operations, you will contribute your technical expertise and structured problem-solving skills to continuously improve our automotive semiconductor products.

Your Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of automotive IC products within the supply chain after product release
• Define and drive product characterization and qualification activities and document the results
• Support the ramp-up of new products, particularly in the UWB and RF/LF areas
• Track, analyze and report product performance regarding cost and quality
• Drive continuous product improvements related to cost reduction, quality enhancement and technical issues
• Lead and support operations projects, such as backend second-sourcing activities

Your Profile:

• Degree from a Technical University or University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) in Physics, Electronics, Information and Computer Engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor industry (Product Engineering or a comparable role)
• Basic understanding of statistics
• Strong project management skills
• Experience with quality management methods such as FMEA, DOE and 8D is a benefit
• Knowledge of quality engineering, IC fabrication and IC testing is an advantage
• Strong customer-oriented mindset
• AI know-how is a plus
• Structured and analytical approach to your work
• Effective and confident communication across different teams and functions
• Proficiency in English
