As our EU Funding Lead, you will be responsible for the full process of identifying, applying for, securing, and managing EU funding opportunities for our programs and initiatives (e.g., Impact Hub, Climate Lab, Future Health Lab, etc.). This role requires close collaboration with multiple internal teams to ensure that all applications and funded projects comply with relevant EU regulations and contractual obligations. You will also oversee reporting duties and ensure that project deliverables are met on time and according to plan.
Research and identify relevant EU funding programs and calls (e.g., Horizon Europe, Interreg, Erasmus+, ESF, etc.).
Lead the preparation and submission of EU funding applications, coordinating technical, financial, and legal aspects.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling project proposals and ensure all application requirements are met.
Review and negotiate contracts related to EU-funded projects, including risk assessment and compliance.
Manage financial and narrative reporting to EU funding bodies.
Monitor the fulfillment of all contractual obligations, working closely with project teams and external partners.
Track trends, networks, and funding strategies at the EU level to strategically position Impact Hub Vienna for future funding success.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and submissions are well-coordinated.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and compliance, ensuring that every aspect of the bid meets legal and technical requirements.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in both English and German) to prepare compelling bids and coordinate with internal teams.
- Negotiation: Skilled in contract negotiation and understanding the intricacies of public funding rules.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to evaluate the risks and benefits of bidding for specific tenders and strategize accordingly.
- Legal and Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with public procurement laws and processes, as well as the ability to interpret legal documents related to tenders.
- Experience: Minimum three years of experience in a similar area of work.

- Compensation: The yearly salary for full-time is between €48,300 and €63,400 gross, depending on your education, qualifications and work experience. The salary is subject to an annual inflation adaptation (first adaptation already in March 2025).
