Arbeitsbeschreibung - Lead Cloud Engineer

Cloud is your playground, and you know how to build scalable, secure, and efficient architectures. Whether it's AWS, GCP, Azure, or hybrid environments - you leverage the best tools to design, deploy, and optimize cloud infrastructures. You design and deliver robust, future-proof solutions.   • Complex Cloud Architectures: Design, implement, and optimize advanced cloud architectures for enterprise customers.
  • Customer Consulting: Lead customer workshops, provide strategic guidance, and define best practices for cloud adoption.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Stay hands-on when needed, actively applying IaC principles and writing Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar configurations.
  • Project Leadership: Take ownership of cloud projects, acting as the key technical contact for customers and internal teams.
  • Technical Mentorship: Lead and mentor engineers within SQUER and customer teams, fostering a strong knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Community Impact: Drive cloud-focused initiatives, such as internal communities, meetups, or industry events.
  • Multi-Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience across AWS, GCP, Azure, or hybrid environments.
  • Enterprise Kubernetes: Ability to design, deploy, and optimize large-scale Kubernetes clusters in enterprise settings.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Advanced proficiency in Terraform, Pulumi and other tools; ability to remain hands-on when necessary.
  • Networking & Security: Deep understanding of networking, encryption, identity & access management.
  • Leadership: Ability to develop, guide, and inspire technical teams.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and designing future-proof cloud solutions.
  • Nice-To Have: CI/CD & Security with expertise in secure pipeline development and cloud-native security best practices.
  • Communication: Ability to break down complex topics and explain them in a way that makes sense to both engineers and customers.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; German is a plus.
