Research Visit

If you are interested in applying complexity science tools and theories in your research and curious to experience CSH’s non-bureaucratic structure and unique intellectual environment, we look forward to hearing from you. As part of European efforts to foster and sustain excellence in research, our visitor program can also facilitate the transition of talented researchers to Europe.

Within our visitor program, we sponsor opportunities for researchers at the postdoctoral stage or later to conduct a research visit to our campus in beautiful Vienna. We invite visitors to integrate fully into our transdisciplinary community during their stay and to consider how longer-term affiliation and cooperation might help advance their complexity science research program.

Students interested in a research stay at CSH should consult our Visiting Student Program.CSH’s dynamic research environment includes regular talks, workshops, and visitors that collectively enhance our highly collaborative structure. Our campus in Palais Springer-Rothschild lies close to Vienna’s city center and within the embassy district. We can advise on visa requirements, healthcare, local schools, and related infrastructure and services to facilitate longer-term visits and/or accompanying family members.

Interested researchers should submit a proposal outlining their interest and intentions for a stay at CSH – lasting from a few weeks to several months, to be negotiated after acceptance.
