Arbeitsbeschreibung - Senior Hardware Architect (m/f/d), Vienna

Would you like to play a meaningful role in developing power solutions for space applications that make a difference in the aerospace industry? In this role, you will shape power system architectures, solve complex technical challenges, and support the delivery of mission-critical solutions for satellite manufacturers. Come and join us!

We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes. We continue to evolve our advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry to deliver real-world solutions that matter to the security of people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Senior Hardware Architect to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

Your role as part of the team

As our new Senior Power Electronics Hardware Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and delivering power solutions within the EGSE power domain. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, from solution architecture and technical proposals to system integration, validation, and customer documentation.

In our team we take pride in developing people and technology. You will join a highly dynamic team supporting innovative products within the space industry. Together, we design, configure, assemble, integrate, test, and deliver advanced solutions for satellite manufacturers worldwide. The team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning, creating an environment where diverse perspectives are encouraged and everyone can contribute.

Technical skills matter, but your mindset matters even more. If you are curious, analytical, collaborative, and enjoy solving complex technical challenges while working in a structured way, you could be a great addition to our team.

How you will make a meaningful contribution

In this role, you will contribute to a range of tasks across your area of responsibility. Your key responsibilities include:

    • Define and maintain overall solution architectures for power test systems within the EGSE power domain

    • Develop technical proposals and recommend power solutions based on customer requirements and system objectives

    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including high-level and low-level designs, test plans, and customer deliverables

    • Support hardware analysis, circuit implementation, design bring-up, integration activities, and system validation testing

    • Perform root cause analysis of hardware issues, identify workarounds, and propose robust solutions for design faults.

Bring your expertise into play

To thrive in this role, we imagine that you bring some of the following qualifications:

    • Completed studies in computer engineering, electronics, software development, or a similar technical discipline

    • At least 7 years of experience as a hardware engineer, including around 5 years within the power electronics industry

    • Solid understanding of power test system architectures, circuit design and simulation, EMC best practices, and hardware troubleshooting

    • Experience with FPGA and DSP development, as well as confident use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and soldering stations

    • Experience from the aerospace or automotive industry is an advantage but not a requirement.

Most importantly, we believe diverse experiences add value to our team and organization. Therefore, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the above requirements.

As we are an international organization, it is important that you are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. German knowledge would be an advantage.

Please also note that valid authorization to work in Austria is required for this position.
