Location: Vienna, Austria (onsite)

Position Type: Full-time

The Senior System Analyst will play a critical role in architecting, implementing, and optimizing complex infrastructure environments. This position requires deep expertise in Linux systems, virtualization, container orchestration, and AI/ML infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable platforms to support business and research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure for high availability and performance.

• Lead the setup and management of containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.

• Oversee hypervisor architecture and operations, ensuring efficient virtualization and resource allocation.

• Provide technical support for AI and ML applications, including GPU management and workload optimization.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects on time and within scope.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible and Terraform.

• Manage and optimize software-defined storage solutions (e.g., CEPH).

• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.

• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on complex technical issues.

• Stay current with emerging technologies in infrastructure, virtualization, and AI/ML domains.

Expert knowledge of

• Linux systems infrastructure setup, operations, practices and optimization

• Containers and orchestration / Kubernetes setup and operations

• Hypervisor architecture and operations

• AI and ML application support and GPU management

Experience with:

• Virtualization, particularly VMware, Proxmox, KVM and QEMU on Linux

• Software-defined storage, particularly CEPH

• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning infrastructure setup and configuration

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms, particularly Ansible and Terraform

Familiarity with:

• Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)

• Hyperconverged Infrastructure

• Cisco fabric interconnect infrastructure

• NetApp storage administration

• Windows based systems administration

• Cloud services and hybrid environments management.
