Your role is pivotal in developing software tools that support design, infrastructure, and technology platforms. Your expertise will determine hardware compatibility and influence design, ensuring seamless integration between software and hardware.\n\nIn this role, you\u2019ll make an impact across Lam\u2019s entire product portfolio of equipment working within our centralized software engineering team, collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the industry.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * be involved in all phases of the software development (SW) lifecycle, including the testing, analysis and maintenance of the software system\n * participate in the SW deployment process ensuring qualified Software Products are successfully installed at our customer\u0027s facilities\n * perform troubleshooting of system software related issues\n * perform in-house \u0026 onsite support of customer install base and resolution of customer issues\n * test, troubleshoot and propagate errors clearly to SW and HW Development Engineers \n * setup and maintain tool simulators, testing environments, lab support to reproduce issues found in field and verify SW solutions\n * understand customer technology \u0026 productivity needs and feedback those requirements into software development\n * prepare presentations to Lam internal stakeholders and customers\n * travel worldwide wherever semiconductor customers are located (up to 25%)\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re looking for\n\n * Technical education in Soft- and Hardware -minimum HTL /technical high school \u2013 electrical engineering, software engineering or similar\n * Excellent Computer, troubleshooting and statistical process control skills\n * Proficient oral and written communication skills in English\n * Good knowledge of operating system principles and basic hardware capabilities\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Professional experience would be an asset, but not a requirement \n * Ability to establish successful relationships in a multicultural environment with external and internal customers\n * Structured Working Style (attention to details)\n * High degree of initiative, flexibility, and ability to work in a team\n\n\n\n## What We\u0027re Offering\n\nThis position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group E depending on educational background.\n\nA higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills.
