Sushi Chef

Located on the 6th floor of the DO & CO Hotel, our ONYX restaurant brings contemporary Asian cuisine to the heart of Vienna. The menu showcases a variety of authentic yet modern dishes from our open kitchen, fiery robata grill and sushi counter that are all designed to be shared. Guests can enjoy an exceptional dining experience with stunning views of the St. Stephen’s Cathedral, delicious cocktails and the best tunes from our DJ.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sushi Chef for our ONYX restaurant  to join our team in Vienna. Our kitchen serves high-end Asian cusine and we are looking for someone with relevant experience in making high quality sushi dishes. 

You will be:

• Working alongside established chefs in a team of 6
• Preparing sushi dishes of high quality in our renowned open kitchen
• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment 
• Working closely with the kitchen team to coordinate smooth service
• Maintaining the highest levels of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ensuring the timely delivery of food, while maintaining the highest levels of quality and consistency 

• Must have a chef's license or certification
• You have previous experience with making sushi dishes (Maki-, Nigiri- and Sashimi-Sushi)
• You are creative with a passion for delivering high quality dishes
• Strong attention to detail and a committment to quality
• You have effective communication skills and you work well in a team, as well as by yourself
• You are flexible and know how to handle pressure while maintaing a smile 
• Proficiency in English and/or German
