What You’ll Do

• Operational leadership of the Protein Operations department
• Planning, prioritization, and coordination of activities within the Protein Operations department
• Active participation in protein life cycle from protein expression to purification
• Support in planning, managing and monitoring of operational KPIs
• Advising and supporting the Head of Protein Sciences on operational and organizational matters
• Continuous optimization of processes with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction
• Planning and coordination of training and development measures for employees in Protein Operations
• Support & maintenance of equipment

What You Bring

• Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology or comparable
• Significant experience of protein expression in E. coli, Pichia and/or insect cells as well as purification of recombinant proteins
• Proven team leadership experience
• Excellent command of English; German language skills are advantageous
• Motivation to grow in exciting projects within a team and the ability to work and report independently
• Nice to have: Practical experience with automated protein purification set-up

Compensation

For this position, we offer a market-competitive minimum annual gross salary of EUR 55.905 based on full-time employment, which is above the applicable collective agreement minimum salary. Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
