Trainee Procurement & Logistic (w/m/d)

Are you a recent Bachelor or Master graduate ready to elevate your career? Newrest Austria is looking for enthusiastic graduates to join our Trainee Programm in the Field Procurement & Logistics with the expectation and goal to move abroard.

In Austria, Newrest works on behalf of ÖBB on the night trains - the ÖBB Nightjets - and takes care of the service on board. Newrest stands for equal opportunities, diversity and stability. The aim of the Graduate Program is to offer young talents an experience within the Group to acquire the skills they need to become managers abroad. Since the launch of this program in 2014, more than 80% of the graduates are now participating in a management position and have joined the Newrest adventure.

After a 2-week training programm to familiarize you with the activities of our train attendants, your individual journey at Newrest begins in the Logistics and Catering department.

Here you will provide operational support in the warehouse to the team responsible for loading the trains with food, drinks and bed linen in compliance with hygiene standards.

In purchasing and back office logistics you will deal with topics such as

• Quality controls (F&B area and textiles)

• Quantity of goods and demand

• KPI's

• ERP System

• Strategic purchasing

• Exchange with suppliers

In this phase you will take on more and more projects independently, especially in cooperation with our external offices. You will be able to demonstrate the experience you have gained and manage your own to-dos with the support of a small team.

After your approx. 1-year trainee program, you develop your career within the Newrest Group worldwide and take on a management role abroad.
