You will be Joining Veolia Industries Austria, a subsidiary of Veolia Global Solutions, employs around 200 people and generates a turnover of 33.5 million euros. The company specializes in energy, water, and waste management services, ensuring the maintenance and optimization of industrial systems. With a focus on reliable operations and efficient asset management, Veolia Industries Austria supports clients through the entire lifecycle of their projects, from concept to completion. We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team in Kundl, Austria, your role will be: 

• Business partnering with operational departments and providing financial support to business units.
• Contribute with financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and planning phases.
• Conducting variance analyses (target vs. actual comparisons), ad hoc financial analyses, and evaluations of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Managing and overseeing relevant contracts from a financial perspective.
• Taking responsibility for project controlling and financial oversight.
• Ensure compliance with Austria's financial regulations and tax laws.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and systems to increase efficiency.
• Support strategic initiatives and projects

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• 1-3 years of professional experience in finance
• Strong affinity for numbers and data analysis                                                                           
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities                                                                   
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel   
• Highly independent and reliable                                                                                                 
• Detail-oriented and organized                                                                                                 
• Proactive and adaptable
• Understanding of financial reporting principles                                                                     
• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes
