Banking Book Risk Management is responsible for the Group wide governance of market and liquidity risk in the Bank. This includes the identification, measurement and controlling of market and liquidity risk as well as setting, controlling and monitoring of Group wide risk limits. Furthermore it is responsible for group wide liquidity and market risk reporting and related projects. In this function the department assures regulatory compliance as well as effective internal risk reporting to senior management and operative units.

Your Tasks

• ​​​​​​Supporting group wide regulatory and internal market and liquidity risk reporting, including data analysis, and ensuring quality


• Analyzing the risk position of Group units and supporting limit monitoring


• Working with SQL, VBA and supporting the banking book risk management department with IT-related further developments


• Testing of new developments and working in an international, dynamic, and interesting field on risk management topics

Your Background

• ​​Currently studying banking/finance, economics, mathematics, or having IT background


• Good MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint), advanced knowledge of SQL, Python and VBA are a benefit


• Reliable, result-oriented, strong analytical skills and a structured way of working as well as a real team player with a high level of commitment and motivation


• Very good knowledge of English (fluent in English with German skills is appreciated but not necessary)

• Exciting and challenging part-time internship (19.25h/week) as of May 2026 for a duration of at least eight months


• We guarantee an internship allowance of minimum EUR 2.660,50 gross per month on a full-time basis (except obligatory internships) and benefits of Erste Group
