Short-Form Video Creator (20-38,5h, on-site or remote)

What you’ll do

You’ll own our short video format content pipeline end-to-end (idea → shoot → edit → publish → iterate). You’ll work closely with Christoph (“Chris”) as the main on-camera talent and sparring partner for brainstorming.

1) Ideation & planning

• Brainstorm weekly concepts with Chris (hooks, trends, story beats, punchlines).

• Turn ideas into simple, shootable plans: shot lists, props/gear needs, timing, upload plan.

• Organise and purchase small equipment/props when needed (high efficiency > high production value).

2) Shooting (phone-first, fast)

• Film short-form and YouTube content primarily on a phone (with clean audio + basic light if needed).

• Capture BTS, lifestyle moments, and quick story updates for Instagram.

• Handle basic set logistics: locations, timing, batteries, backups, quick setups.

3) Editing (speed + retention)

• Edit with a meme + educational + fast-cut + storytelling style (not cinematic).

• Strong pacing: hooks, pattern interrupts, captions/subtitles, sound design, memes, punchlines.

• Repurpose intelligently: turn long-form shoots into multiple shorts, reuse/refresh old footage.

4) Publishing & growth loops

• Publish across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok with platform-native formatting.

• Write English captions/titles/descriptions; basic hashtags; posting cadence.

• Track performance (retention, watch time, saves/shares, CTR) and adjust what you make next.

Must-have

• Proven experience filming + editing + publishing short-form content (TikTok/Reels/Shorts).

• Strong comedic timing / meme literacy / “hook-first” thinking.

• Excellent English (internal communication + captions/titles).

• Can work on-site in Vienna. Minimum 2 days per week on site, ideally every day on site.

• Reliable weekend availability 1–2x/month.

Big plus

• Airsoft / firearms / tactical content familiarity (you don’t need to be an expert, but it helps).

Tools / workflow fit

• Phone-first production. You care more about speed, clarity, and retention than fancy gear.

• Comfortable with fast editing tools (CapCut / Premiere / DaVinci / Final Cut — whatever gets it done).

Salary

For an employment contract, compensation will be based on the applicable collective agreement (KV) “Werbung & Marktkommunikation” (Vienna), with classification depending on your qualifications and experience (part-time 20h/week pro-rated).

Willingness to overpay depending on experience, skill level, and output.

In short: Brutto / Gross Yearly: 28.000 EUR - 45.000 EUR depending on qualification.

For a freelance setup, compensation is agreed as an hourly/day rate or per content piece (no KV minimums apply).
