A Front Office Manager supervises the FrontOffice Team to ensure that Team Members are prepared andwell-informed to deliver our Guests an exceptional experience fromcheck-in through check-out.
Whatwill I be doing?
As FrontOffice Manager, you will oversee the Front Office Team which is themain connection between the Guest, the hotel, and the various hoteldepartments. A Front Office Manager is responsible for managing thefirst impressions of our Guests and, therefore, must perform thefollowing tasks to the higheststandards:
- Oversee the entire FrontOffice operation to maintain highstandards
- Evaluate levels of Guest satisfactionand monitor trends, with a focus on continuousimprovement
- Ensure regular and VIP Guests arerecognised and that the Front Office department operates with asales attitude and promotes the hotel brand's loyaltyscheme
- Maximise room occupancy at best ratesand use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services andfacilities
- Set departmental objectives, workschedules, budgets, policies, andprocedures
- Monitor the appearance, standards,and performance of the Front Office Team Members with an emphasison training and teamwork
- Ensure Team Membershave current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing andpolicies, as well as knowledge of the local area, and arecontinuously trained to learn and understand policies andpractices
- Maintain good communication andworking relationships with all hoteldepartments
- Monitor staffing levels to meetcover business demands
- Conduct monthlycommunication meetings and produceminutes
- Manage staff performance issues incompliance with company policies andprocedures
- Recruit, manage, train and developthe Front Office team
- Comply with hotelsecurity, fire regulations and all health and safetylegislation
- Act in accordance with policies andprocedures when working with front of house equipment and propertymanagement systems
- Assist with otherdepartments, as necessary

- A degree ordiploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
- Aminimum of 3 years of Front Office supervisory experience in thehotel, leisure, and/or retail sector
- High levelof IT proficiency
- High level of commercialawareness and sales capabilities
- Experience ofmanaging people and developing people
- Previousexperience of managing a department and Profit and Lossaccount
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal andcommunication skills
- Accountable andresilient

It would be advantageous in thisposition for you to demonstrate the following capabilities anddistinctions:
- Familiar with PropertyManagement Systems
