Senior Video Editor

We are seeking a creative Senior VideoEditor/Animator with a passion for story telling. You will beresponsible for the day-to-day creation of video at I Heart FilmProductions.

You will workclosely with our Creative Directors and talentedCinematographers/videographers to ensure creative execution to thehighest standard for a variety of premium and internationalclients.

As a Senior VideoEditor, your job is to coordinate with your co-workers and bringclient-projects to completion.

Working on a variety of projects at any giventime, ranging from short social media clips to long-formdocumentaries or TV Commercials.

Regardless of their project’s lengthor scope, the senior video editor must ensure that each piece meetsthe highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing footage to ensure that itis of high quality and can be used in the finalproduct.
• Editing video content to meet specificcriteria, including length requirements, format specifications, orbranding guidelines.
• Researching and selectingappropriate music and sound effects to use based on client requestsor genre requirements.
• Organising footage foreasier access and retrieval during editing sessions, includinglabelling and storing on servers or physical storagedevices.
• Ensuring that all technical detailsare correct, such as resolution and aspectratio.
• Creating graphics or other specialeffects, such as fades or dissolves, to enhance the visual appealof a video
• Adding titles, subtitles, credits,and other text to a video to explain its content or provideinformation about actors or topics beingdiscussed.
• Evaluating existing footage todetermine if it meets quality standards before adding it to thevideo project.
• Reviewing edits made by othereditors to ensure that they meet accuracy and style requirementsfor the project.

KeyQualifications

• All priorqualifications, requirements and duties expected of a Senior VideoEditor.
• Proficient in Adobe Premier and AfterEffects Software.
• At least 5 years of SeniorVideo Editor experience working the field . Demonstratedproficiency in video production, particularly in TVC’sand promos.
• Advanced knowledge of AdobeProducts, e.g., Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects.Capable of handling multiple, multi-week long video editingprojects simultaneously.
• An extreme attentionto detail — including end-client branding requirementsand goals. The ability to work in both Windows and Appleenvironments, as required per theproject.
