Job Description - D365 F&O Developer (X++)

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform.

Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards.

Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products.

Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

6â8+ years of experience in X++ development and Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O.

Develop and maintain customizations using X++, adhering to coding standards and best practices.

Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Customize and extend standard D365 F&O modules (Finance, Supply Chain, etc.).

Work with D365 extensibility framework, Data Management Framework (DMF), SSRS, and Electronic Reporting.

Design and maintain integrations using OData, REST APIs, and other integration technologies.

Utilize Azure services and ensure seamless cloud-based integrations.

Perform unit testing, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of custom solutions.

Handle bug investigation and resolution as part of L3 support.

Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Create and maintain technical documentation for customizations and integrations.

Support deployments and provide post go-live support.

Stay updated with latest D365 F&O updates and Microsoft best practices.

Strong understanding of D365 architecture, data entities, and extension frameworks.

Expertise in event handlers, chain of command, and custom services.

Experience with SQL Server and ERP data models.

Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with LCS, Visual Studio, and deployment processes.

Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.

Strong understanding of Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Inventory processes.

Experience with Utilities/Billing platforms (e.g., MECOMS).

Experience handling large data volumes and performance optimization.

Knowledge of Power Platform and Azure integrations.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Experience in client-facing roles and workshop facilitation

Ability to lead teams and coordinate with multiple vendors

Strong understanding of workflows, business logic, and user roles in D365 F&O

Proven experience in full-cycle D365 F&O implementations and upgrades

Experience in gathering requirements, conducting workshops, and managing product backlogs
