ORGANIZATION

Our client is an international non-profit organization working at the intersection of global development, policy, and research. With a growing presence in Belgium and operations based in Brussels, the team is looking to strengthen its local HR support structure.

YOUR ROLE

In this freelance role, you will serve as the local HR advisor for Belgium, supporting a small but growing team. Your focus will be on providing ad hoc operational and advisory support to ensure local HR compliance and employee support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for Belgium-based HR matters

• Advising on Belgian labor legislation and HR compliance

• Supporting immigration and relocation-related questions

• Helping develop and localize HR policies and processes

• Providing guidance to managers and staff on HR best practices

• Liaising with the broader HR team to ensure alignment with global policies

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a strong track record as an HR Consultant or HR Business Partner in Belgium

• You possess solid knowledge of Belgian employment law and HR operations

• You are experienced in immigration and international HR contexts

• You thrive in a flexible, independent freelance setup

• You are fluent in English and French; Dutch is a strong plus
