Engineering Manager Benelux

We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager for BENELUX based either in Belgium or Netherlands. We require this person to manage and deliver an efficient service team while driving innovation and value that meets and exceed our client's expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for team/s and technical activities across all engagements in BENELUX.
• Understand and contribute to Cognizant’s vision, goals and strategy.
• Point of contact and primary escalation point to Life Sciences Manufacturing Group at BENELUX in matters relation to operational delivery.
• Technical ownership of all Life Sciences Manufacturing Group at BENELUX projects from an operational delivery perspective.
• Resource planning and ensure optimal deployment of resources.
• Develop engineering processes/practices/procedures for achieving continuous improvements, high quality and costs under control.
• Actively drive the knowledge management, technical upskilling and continuous improvement
• Connect with recruitment regarding candidate offers & employee/contractor issue.
• Liaise with other Engineering Managers to align/ensure standard and optimal operational delivery procedures,
• Provision of technical expertise to consultancy projects as required.
• Responsible for identification, selection, assignment, mentoring, leadership and supporting for project managers, site leads, project engineers and operations support engineers, ensuring adequate skills/capabilities/capacities availability.
• Responsible for future resource demand planning for Life Sciences Manufacturing Group at BENELUX.
• Actively engage and communicate with office and site-based teams, incl. 1:1s and meeting for coaching, motivation and engagement
• Forecast additional technical resource requirements and work closely with the recruitment team and regional managers to select/interview appropriate candidates.
• Oversee development of skills and capabilities -identified in RFPs- within the team
• Support definition of appropriate client/site sales strategy.
• Identify and execute sales activities where appropriate.
• Provide technical support to the sales team including interpretation of RFP scope, development of technical solutions and generation of the associated estimates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, or related field to Life Sciences.
• Strong technical and management experience in a (Bio)Pharma/Manufacturing facility
• Pro-active and independent on bringing the assigned tasks to a successful completion.
• IT Systems Technical Leadership/Project Management in Pharmaceutical Industry or other FMCG.
• Strategic Thinker, to drive innovative thinking and add value to the service provided.
• Ability to lead, motivate and engage the team to continually deliver.
• Excellent cross functional people management skills – across disciplines and customers.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of GxP, QMS, CAPA, Change Controls, CSV, etc.
• Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Handle and operate efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent English, French or Dutch is a must
