Job summary Barco is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to develop production systems
Responsibilities include setting up new production cells, improving existing processes, and working closely with R&D
Skills required include knowledge of industrial automation, programming languages, vacuum technology, and soldering techniques

Responsibilities • Setting up new production cells with robotics, motion & vision systems
• Continuous improvement of existing processes
• Reviewing product designs and providing input
• Utilizing a variety of tools and methodologies
• Working with a team of young and more seasoned engineers
• Participating in Barco's training program
Requirements • Master's degree in Engineering (specialization in automation is a plus)
• Relevant experience in developing machines and tools for production setups
• Knowledge of industrial automation, program languages, vacuum technology, and soldering techniques
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and take the lead in new challenging projects
• Positive, assertive, and a 'can do' mentality
• Fluent in English and Dutch (both written and spoken)
Key Skills Needed • Industrial automation (Siemens PLC, motion control, robotics, vision)
• 1 or more program languages (e.g. Python, C#, C++, .net, scripting languages)
• Vacuum technology (is a plus)
• Soldering techniques (is a plus)
