Fonction

The Applied Cancer Epigenomics and Epitranscriptomics Group, seeks a highly motivated laboratory technician for projects related to the study of epigenetic modifications in cancer.

Our group leverages state-of-the-art sequencing technologies to map changes in DNA and RNA modifications in human tumors. We utilize these changes to improve the stratification of cancer patients for outcome and treatment choice, to identify new targets for cancer therapy and to gain new insights into tumor biology.

You will join a young and international team of enthusiastic and dynamic scientists to perform cutting-edge research for several projects, including one funded by the ERC. You will work together with postdocs and PhD students to support the set-up of new technologies and their application to state-of-the-art cancer models and human study cohorts, perform cellular and molecular biology assays, and participate in laboratory organization.

Profil

• Bachelor degree in laboratory technology, medical biology or an equivalent field. Attention, candidates with a higher degree than a bachelor cannot be considered.
• Previous lab experience and proficiency with the following skills are of advantage.
• Cell culture techniques
• Phenotypic cell assays (cell viability, cell proliferation etc.)
• Molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA/Protein extraction, PCR, western blot, IHC)
• Laboratory organization
• Purchase using SAP
• Spoken and written English, be capable to work in a english speaker professionnal environment.
