Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for an OR Technologist. We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Location: Herrin IL 62948

Assignment Start Date: 5/28/2024

13 weeks Days 10hour shift 40 hours with 36 hours guaranteed weekly

What You Will Do:

• Assists in transportation and positioning of patients
• Assists in assembling and dismantling of tables and instruments before and after procedure
• Prepares patients and rooms for the planned surgical procedures.
• Opens sterile supplies and sets up for procedures
• Completes skin preparation and draping
• Assist Surgeon with gowning and gloving
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments and suture
• Assists in maintaining the correct count of instruments sutures and sponges
• Applies dressings and bandages as needed
• Assists in identifying collecting and caring for specimens.
• Decontaminates instruments (pointofuse cleaning) supplies and equipment according to established policies and procedures; handles and stores instruments equipment and supplies appropriately
• Aids in the efficient turnover of the operating room for the next cases
• Monitors and restocks supplies

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Technical Experience: 6 months of specialized training for noncertified or onthejob and military training

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:

• NonCertified: Graduate of OR technician program accredited through ARC/STSA or onthejob training; military experience as technician or LPN; dental assistant; ophthalmologist technician; medical assistant. All onthejob training or military must show evidence of training by the training facility physician in charge or military command officer.
• Certified: Successfully pass the Certified Surgical Technologist exam through NBSTSA or NCCT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate

EMR System: EPIC experience preferred

Shift: 0days a week/1 weeknight and 2 weekend days a month for call requirements
