Job Description - Recovery Planning Advisor

RRWPs strive to help the organization look after uncovered losses, liquidity shortfall or capital inadequacy, arising from e.g. counterparty defaults and business or operational losses that would threaten the financial viability of one or more group entities. Failure to submit credible plans could lead to exacting capital, leverage or liquidity requirements that would constrain the company’s growth, activities and operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Providing expert advice to Risk Management and the business on recovery planning topics.
  • Demonstrating end-to-end thinking and ownership in delivering the recovery plans, supporting the continued evolution and maturing of the plans.
  • Playing a central role in the development, maintenance, evolution and production of the recovery plans across the group. This includes updating, and improving the RRWPs of the group entities across their key elements (qualitative and quantitative) such as for example, recovery options, scenarios, playbooks and testing.
  • Supporting the testing activities that are coordinated by the RRW Team to drive improvements across the business, and to make the plans credible and operational.
  • Presenting and engaging confidently with senior Management and other partners on the plans.
  • Driving collaboration with business partners and other contributors to the plans to ensure that the plans are fit for purpose and meet regulatory and Management requirements and expectations.
  • Monitoring regulatory and industry developments as appropriate to evolve Euroclear’s thinking and plans with the shifting regulatory landscape, industry and market best practice befitting a systemically important financial market infrastructure like Euroclear.
  • Acting as a single point of contact for questions from internal partners, regulators, clients and counterparties concerning the company’s recoverability.
  • Driving and owning inter-divisional initiatives that should strengthen the recoverability of Euroclear.
  • Helping to ensure close alignment and integration of the RRWPs with other Risk Management activities and files.
