AI Engineer - Freelance

Ahead Digital, an agency specialising in digital strategy based in Paris and Brussels, is looking for a AI Engineer, for a 6-month assignment to be filled as soon as possible (freelance status). The candidate is expected to come two days on site per week.

 Our client is looking for an AI engineer to join a team of experts in artificial intelligence.

You will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative projects utilizing technologies such as GPT, Azure AI services, and other advanced AI techniques. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to create solutions that address the specific the clients needs. 

On a day-to-day basis, you will have to :

Develop end-to-end AI use-cases:

·        Quickly prototype scenarios from AI to UX for end users.

·        Engineer prompts effectively to optimize AI performance.

·        Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of solutions based on Azure OpenAI & other Azure services.

·        Use your knowledge and creativity to design smart solutions that leverage data and AI tools to fulfill the feature requirements.

·        Integrate Azure AI services with existing systems.

·        Provide clear and precise documentation of code, processes, and workflows.

Collaborate:

·        Work closely with the existing team to comprehend project requirements and AI architecture goals.

·        Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with other team members.

·        Follow best practices in development, security, and performance.

·        Collaborate with design and product teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical software and AI solutions.

·        Co-create suitable use cases with the business that can benefit from generative AI.

·        Ensure the appropriate level of AI complexity is selected for use-cases.

·        Educate technical and business leaders on the usage of generative AI.

Hard Skills :

 

 Practical experience in designing, developing, and implementing artificial intelligence projects in company, with a focus on OpenAI or large language models.

·        In-depth knowledge of pre-trained language models such as GPT and their practical applications.

·        Expertise in Agentic Approach (openAI Agent SDK, MCP Tools, …)

·        Experience with Azure AI services and their integration into comprehensive solutions.

·        Proficiency in programming with Python.

·        Strong adherence to software development standards using DevOps practices.

·        Expertise in prompt engineering.

·        Experience with API Development: Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs to enable seamless interaction between AI models and other software systems.

·        Experience with cloud architecture, Azure Functions, SQL databases is very appreciated.

·        Experience with Business Intelligence process, development of ETL/ELT process.

You speak Frech or Dutch and have a profesional level of English.
