Air Export Operations (all genders)

For our air export department in Machelen, we are looking for an experienced Air Export Operator for a temporary assignment of 6 months. As Air Export Operations you will assist in processing air export transactions, including all related activities. Mainly concerning document preparation and layout of all transport documents, taking into account customer specific expectations and all related legislation. You ensure that all transport documents are prepared correctly and on time. You will work from 2PM to 10PM, and to 10.30PM on Friday.

• Receive, review, and process export documentation.
• Process and follow instructions related to the shipment.
• Prepare and process delivery notes, AWBs, Insurance Certificates, letters of credit and all other related documents through the relevant operational systems.
• Prepare and/or send advance notice of shipments and documents to shippers, consignees and destination offices.
• Calculate air freight rates and insurance accurately and according to established procedures.
• Close files and distribute documents in accordance with pertinent requirements and in compliance with export standards.
• Communicate with clients, co-workers, and supervisors in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
• Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations.
• Advise department Supervisor or Manager of any transaction problems or irregularities.

• You have completed studies in the sector of "transportation and logistics" or have work experience in the logistics sector.
• Knowledge of air cargo is a plus.
• Perfectly managing Dutch and English language, French is a plus.
• Knowledge of the AS400 and Cargowise program is a plus.
• Communicative and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skilled and comfortable with MS office and Excel.
• Eager to learn about logistics and regulations.
• Team player while being flexible and motivate.
• Being able to work in a stressful and dynamic environment.
