Vacancy: Application Administrator – Microservices (Ghent)

We are looking for a hands-on Application Administrator (Microservices) who will be responsible for a suite of applications within a distributed microservices architecture.

You will combine technical application management with active support in implementations built in .NET and Quarkus (Apache Camel). As a key member of the team, you will ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a range of applications within a microservices-based ecosystem
• Provide 3rd-line application support, troubleshooting, and incident/problem management
• Support development and deployment activities in .NET and Quarkus environments
• Monitor performance, optimize configurations, and propose improvements for operational efficiency
• Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and business stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

Competency

Proven experience with SOA or Microservices architecture

Proven experience in troubleshooting, incident/problem management, and 3rd-line application support

Proven experience with the relevant technology stack or similar

Proven development experience in Java / .NET

Proficiency in Dutch (CEFR C2 level)

Nice to Have (Assets)

Competency

Experience with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)

Experience with JIRA / Confluence or Azure DevOps

Experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift)

Experience with SQL Server DBA tasks

Higher education (Bachelor or Master) in a technical/engineering field or equivalent experience in relevant ICT technologies

2 days from home per week
