Application Architect (UI/UX, Angular)

We currently have a vacancy for an Application Architect (UI/UX, Angular) fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Tasks:

• Analysis of the integration of different information systems with view to seamless user experience;
• Technical interface between the project leaders and developers to decide most appropriate and effective components for UI solution;
• Translation of business requirements into an UI solution;
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting;
• Assistance in test scenarios and accessibility testing of UI components;
• Design and development of component architecture and building blocks for frontend of responsive web and mobile applications;
•  Front-end development of responsive UI solutions following good coding practices, including creation/correction of CSS and transforming mock-ups into semantic HTML and development of innovative solutions for different platforms as well as integration with DBs or other server-side logic;
• Visual prototyping of UI solutions such as designing (low- and high-fidelity) wireframes, mock-ups and story boards which lead to an intuitive user experience;
•  Experience in agile development environments.

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 11 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• At least 6 years of experience in Angular of a recent version;
• At least 6 years of experience in development of web-applications with typescript-based UI frameworks;
• At least 2 years of experience in the implementation of WCAG;
• Experience with creating front-end architecture and reusable components with Angular, with UI related unit testing and knowledge of Figma;
• Experience with Agile methodology and CI/CD processes;
• Very good knowledge of responsive frontend frameworks based on type script or JavaScript (e.g. Angular, Vue.JS) HTML5, CSS3, XHTML;
• Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns, microservices and architecture in the cloud;
• Good knowledge of applications design with focus on responsive UI components;
• Good knowledge of modelling tools and relational DBMS;
• Good knowledge of Java and related frameworks such as spring boot;
• Knowledge of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket);
• Knowledge of user-centred design principles and methodologies, including development of usability test plans;
• Knowledge of (web/visual) design, graphical and prototyping tools and software, such as Figma, InVision or similar;
• Excellent command of the English language.
