Job Description - Associate Product Manager

Job description

You’ve probably already heard about Ghent’s buzzing tech scene, now’s your chance to be part of it! Kickstart your career in the ✨wondrous✨ world of SaaS!

We're looking for an early-career professional ready to grow into Product Management. Someone who can communicate clearly, break down complex problems, and collaborate across product, technology, and business. In this role, you'll learn how to bring SaaS features and product initiatives from idea to launch, while building a strong foundation for a long-term career in product.

Logistics? Maybe not what you dreamed of as a kid. But building a fast-growing international SaaS scale-up that’s transforming how some of the world’s largest industrial companies operate? That’s a different story.

Peripass is a tech company at heart. We build software that digitises and automates complex logistics environments for companies like Bridgestone, Alpro and Arcelor Mittal. These companies have hundreds of trucks (un)loading every month, and our SaaS platform helps them orchestrate that whole process. International enterprise companies rely on Peripass to run those environments.

You will work with the Product team in shaping, validating, and delivering impactful features and projects. You'll work across the full product journey: learning about customer needs, working with Design and Engineering, helping turn ideas into solutions, and helping the team bring new features to market successfully.

  • You will contribute to end-to-end product work, from customer and market input to delivery and adoption.

  • You work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to turn ideas into successful product outcomes.

  • You help research and structure product opportunities, break abstract problems into clear next steps, and drive straightforward features and projects forward.

  • You work on cross-functional initiatives that matter to the Product team, including longer-term or exploratory topics.

  • You join customer visits, fairs, and relevant events to stay close to the market and learn what matters in logistics and SaaS.

You'll report directly to our VP of Product, Matti Desmet. In this role, you'll work closely with him, gain broad exposure across the company, and develop the skills needed to grow into a full Product Management role over time.

What we offer:

  • A strong launchpad into Product Management: you'll learn how product choices are made in a complex SaaS environment, and gain hands-on experience across discovery, delivery, stakeholder management, and go-to-market.

  • Close coaching and support:Close coaching and guidance: You'll work closely with experienced Product Managers and report to our VP of Product.

  • Broad exposure: You'll gain visibility into multiple product domains, helping you build a broad view of both the product and the business.

  • A great bunch of colleagues who are all making the success story of Peripass, day after day, milestone after milestone, and joke after joke.

  • A solid salary package, including a variable component and great benefits.

Job requirements

Come on, blow us away with your credentials!

  • You have a master's degree, preferably in (business) engineering.

  • You bring 2 to 3 years of work experience and you're ready for a next step into Product. Experience as an Associate PM, Business Analyst, Process Analyst, Consultant, or in another relevant SaaS or software-related role is a plus.

  • Languages: fully professional in Dutch and English. French is important too: you should be comfortable having conversations with customers, even if it takes a little practice at first.

  • You have strong communication skills, a structured way of working, and the ability to break down abstract problems into concrete actions.

  • You're curious, technically interested, and already familiar with concepts like SaaS, product development, or working with digital tools.

  • You live in Belgium and are open to working at least 4 days a week from our office in Ghent, with regular customer visits, fairs, events, and occasional travel.
