About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Back-End .NET Developer to join Team Black, a transversal development team within a dynamic, bilingual IT environment. This freelance assignment is your opportunity to shape the Azure Cloud platform, making it accessible and scalable for multiple development teams. You’ll be at the heart of a collaborative, agile culture, driving technical excellence and enabling innovation across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend .NET framework components using C# and .NET Core.


• Translating requirements into robust, reusable technical solutions for use by multiple development teams.


• Analyzing and resolving complex technical issues, including second-level bug resolution and technical support for colleagues.


• Driving continuous improvement in development processes and software quality by staying ahead of technology trends and best practices.


• Automating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, implementing unit tests, and ensuring stable development, test, and production environments.


• Collaborating closely within an agile SAFe environment with developers, testers, product owners, and scrum masters to deliver high-quality software iteratively.


• Contributing to technical documentation and sharing knowledge across teams, including reviewing documentation from less experienced developers.

Technical Skills

• Confirmed expertise in C# and .NET framework/.NET Core (minimum 5 years’ experience)


• Experience with Azure Cloud and Bicep (junior level)


• Familiarity with Azure DevOps (junior level)


• Understanding of Dapr, gRPC, NServiceBus or other messaging patterns (junior level)


• Experience with MS SQL/Oracle databases (junior level)


• Knowledge of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) (junior level)


• Agile/Scrum methodologies (junior level)

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in either French or Dutch (main language)


• Ability to communicate at an elementary level in the second language (French or Dutch)


• Understanding of English

Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills


• Continuous learning mindset and openness to new technologies


• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Collaboration-oriented, socially skilled, and adaptable to changing priorities


• Proactive, autonomous, and customer-focused approach


• Hybrid working: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote per week

This is a freelance position for a 5-month project based in Brussels, Belgium.
