THE JOB

Within our sales process it is important to deliver qualitative customer parts in a short timeframe. As benchmarking technician, you will oversee the entire process flow of parts, from printer setup to post-processing to quality inspection. Production is done across 3DS’s range of plastic 3D printing technologies. In this role, you will report to the Production Supervisor and collaborate with Application Engineering colleagues responsible for setting up the printer files and production plan. You will be able to rely on various technology and material experts inside the organization to overcome challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Printer setup, startup and unloading across a broad range of printing machines and technologies. 
• Perform post-processing on 3D printed parts across these technologies (support removing, bead blasting, breakout, UV curing, residue cleaning). 
• Quality inspections of made parts (3D scanning, caliper measurements, photography).
• Work and report on multiple requests at the same time.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts by reporting on issues and improvement opportunities.

EXPERIENCE

• Technical background with experience in machine operation.
• Experience in Additive Manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience in a high mix, low volume production environment is a plus.
• Ability to organize your work and set priorities.
• Ability and willingness to learn post-processing for a wide range of technologies.
• Preference for hands-on work.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for training.
