BI Development Support

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a BI Development Support to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Review existing ServiceNow API-based ETL prototypes to identify performance, scalability, and maintainability issues.
• Troubleshoot known issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Define and propose an improvement or re-implementation strategy, including alternatives to current API usage.
• Evaluate ETL throughput, load times, and stability against production expectations, and recommend adjustments.
• Review and validate attribute mappings with stakeholders, creating additional mappings as required.
• Develop ODI ETL jobs for eight defined ServiceNow tables, supporting both initial and incremental loads.
• Implement logic for deleted record handling using sys_audit_delete to ensure reporting datasets remain consistent.
• Deliver reusable ETL components, templates, and configurations for future extensibility.
• Provide deployment scripts and instructions for DEV–TEST–PROD promotion.
• Validate ETL performance benchmarks (full load within one working day; incremental loads within 180 minutes).
• Produce complete technical documentation covering design, load logic, error handling, and extension procedures.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and handover sessions with the BI team, both in-person and remotely.
• Present findings, proposals, and documentation to stakeholders, capturing feedback and updating deliverables until sign-off.

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Hold at least a High School Diploma
• 10 years of Data engineering implementation experience and in configuring and integration of business applications.
• 5+ years experience using Oracle Databases and Oracle Data Integrator.
• 2+ years working experience with ServiceNow data model, processes, and data extraction, via native APIs and/or alternatives such as data replication APIs.
• Experience developing complex SQL queries and ETL.
• Proficient in designing normalized and denormalized data models, star/snowflake schemas.
• Proven work experience of Level 2 and Level 3 support—including incident, problem, change, and service request fulfilment—using ITIL processes and service-management tooling.
• Proven experience as a BI Consultant, a strong understanding of DWH architecture, components, functionalities and Oracle and ServiceNow technologies is an advantage.
• Prior experience of working in Agile development methodologies in considered an advantage.
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements is a considered plus.
• Full proficiency in the English language
